HVAC Administrator / Dispatcher

Overview Colkitt Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning is a family owned 3rd generation company that has served Indian River County for over 55 years! We are currently looking for a skilled HVAC Administer/Dispatcher to join our team. Responsibilities • Pulling all replacement permits, filling out proper paper work, gathering proper engineering, NOC's, setting up inspections and ensuring permits close out. • File claims for all warranty parts. Work with service manager on following up on parts ordered, filling out required paper work, receiving parts back and organize parts to get back to distributors, etc. • Assist dispatcher with answering daily phone calls, setting up service calls, dispatching service techs. Coordinate with dispatcher to cover while on lunch break. • Assist walk-in customers, deliveries, and sheet metal needs. Experience and Requirements: • Minimum 2 years experience dispatching HVAC or similar trades that deal with residential/light commercial customers, scheduling, technicians and conflict resolution. • FieldEdge or Service Titan required. • Proficient typing skills for data entry tasks and documentation purposes. • Positive attitude focused on customer service. • Strong organization and communication skills to work in a team environment. • Multitasking in a high paste environment • Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively. Position Overview: As our Lead Service Tech, you will play a pivotal role in providing our client base with quality service solutions for residential and light commercial air conditioning systems. Key Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and refrigeration problems with air conditioning and heating systems with minimal assistance. • Layout, design, and install low voltage wiring. • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and possibly repair air flow problems. • Perform maintenance and precision tune-ups on air conditioning and heating systems. • Correctly charge equipment based on super heat, sub cool, and refrigerant charging charts. • Sell system components needed by customers to improve the operation and efficiency of equipment. • Sell and explain the benefits of maintenance contracts to customers. • Obtain and maintain required certifications. • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. • Establish rapport with customers through active listening and professionalism. Qualifications: • HVAC experience in maintenance and/or service including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and correcting diverse HVAC system issues. • EPA Certification • Experience with inverter & communicating systems • Light commercial experience is preferred • Clean driving record to operate a company vehicle • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectation • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to inspect repair, and conduct maintenance on air handlers, condensers, and compressors • Build client relationships by providing outstanding service through strong communication and customer service skills • Educate clients on their systems and maintenance requirements • Identify opportunities for clients to improve their systems through product overview • Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, and/or records • Complete all tasks in accordance with quality and safety standards • Experience using field software on tablet or similar applications is a plus If you’re ready to take your AC service career to the next level and make an impact with a respected company, we’d love to meet you!
