Summary Job Description: Expert Home Service is looking for an HVAC technician. This is an exciting time to be part of an organization in fast growth mode. HVAC technician duties include: locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting maintenance service, and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items. Job Requirements: • Experience Removing and Installing new systems • Performing routine maintenance • Training and teaching junior team members • Communicating with clients and customers • Meeting local HVAC codes • 3+ years in a related service industry preferred • Keen eye for details yet can grasp the larger picture. • Self-directed and highly motivated with the ability to thrive working independently • Must be able to collaborate effectively across the organization and be a confident Team Member • Strong enthusiasm and positivity. • Ability to trace out and troubleshoot complex electrical systems. • Ability to communicate with customers in a clear, confident manner throughout the entire service so that they are aware what is going on inside their home/business. • Ability to adjust your communications to provide the best customer experience possible. • Ability to create detailed job notes in the customer’s account for future reference. • Ability to both teach and learn by sharing thoughts/experiences with your coworkers in meetings and in one-to-one interactions. • Willingness to try new ideas and recommend process improvements to your manager with the objective of improving efficiency/effectiveness. • Frequent communication with dispatchers so that they know the status of each job for scheduling purposes. • The ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace both in a customer’s property and your company vehicle. • The ability to work safely and the motivation to help ensure that those you work with are working in a safe manner. • All employees of Expert Home Service must consider safety as their primary job. General knowledge of safe working practices and federal/state OSHA requirements is required as applicable. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35 - 40 / Hour with 40-hours / week (and ability for overtime). Pay Range is dependent upon work experience and skills. Schedule: • 8 hour shift (with ability for overtime during the busy season) • TUESDAY - SATURDAY • Seasonal nature of HVAC demand may cause some variations in weekly work schedule including an expectation of overtime in summer season • Employees are expected to not request time off from 01May – 30Sep each year during peak season. Time off approval will not be granted during peak season unless emergencies warrant a case by case evaluation. Experience: • HVAC Service: 3+ years (Required) • Refrigeration Service 3+ years (Required) License/Certification: • EPA Type II (Preferred) Work Location: Clermont Office serving the Greater Orlando Area with assignments periodically in the Tampa Bay region Physical Demands/Working Conditions: To adequately perform the duties of this job, the employee is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, use hands to manipulate equipment and machine controls; hear, and talk. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces.
