About the Role We are looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems in commercial properties. In this role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure optimal performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Your proficiency in troubleshooting and HVAC/R systems will be essential to ensure client satisfaction. Responsibilities • Maintain and service HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, and refrigeration systems, ensuring peak operational efficiency. • Diagnose and resolve issues in malfunctioning HVAC systems, focusing on mechanical components and electrical systems to minimize downtime. • Execute RTU replacements, from 10-ton to 50-ton units, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to operations. • Perform split system retrofits and replacements, upgrading systems to enhance energy efficiency and performance. • Install and maintain condensate drains, including routing, supporting, and soldering using press fittings, to prevent water damage and ensure system longevity. • Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment, identifying and addressing potential problems to extend equipment lifespan. Qualifications Required Skills • Demonstrated experience as an HVAC Service and Installation Technician in the commercial sector. • Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to effectively diagnose, repair, and install HVAC systems. • Proficiency in property maintenance tasks related to HVAC installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC issues, ensuring optimal system performance and client satisfaction. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/HVAC Journeyman to join our growing team. You will play a key role in the assembly and installation of HVAC units for both new and existing construction projects. Additionally, you will support the Foreman in managing project tasks and take on a mentorship role for apprentices. Primary Responsibilities and Duties • Expertly run spiral duct, TDF, and S&D systems. • Lead and supervise a skilled crew. • Capably cut duct, measure, and offset as needed. • Have familiarity with various hanging systems. • Construct and level curbs on decking. • Utilize your own set of tools, including basic hand tools and power tools such as impact drills and Sawzalls.
