The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Responsibilities • Install and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and commercial settings. • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation. • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning HVAC systems using diagnostic tools and techniques. • Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and identify issues. • Utilize equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and diagnostics. • Weld components as necessary for repairs or installations. • Refrigerate systems as needed to maintain optimal performance levels. • Build and plumb new HVAC installations according to industry standards. • Work with ammonia refrigeration systems when required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Skills • Proficient in HVAC system design and installation techniques. • Strong knowledge of air conditioning principles and equipment repair methods. • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics accurately. • Experience with welding techniques for metal components in HVAC systems. • Familiarity with refrigerant handling and ammonia refrigeration practices is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues. • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
