Journeyman HVAC Mechanic

Under direct supervision of Foreman, the HVAC Mechanic will assist in the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on industrial and commercial construction projects. Installations will be up to code and Stellar’s rigid quality standards. Reports to assigned job site on time and ready to work. • Demonstrate willingness to work and assist team members • Demonstrate commitment to developing customer service and communication skills • Field measure, cut, and install HVAC duct and equipment as shown on project drawings • Able to perform the following duties: • * Hole Cutting - Metal & Wood • Set HVAC Equipment • Fabricate and install duct systems including hangers and sway bracing, to SIS Quality Standards • Installation of gas lines • Furnace hookups • Refrigerant lines • Must have own tools required for the installation of HVAC duct and equipment • Able to lift 50 lbs • Work alone or in team environment • Ability to follow written and verbal directions as given • Ability to follow Safety Guidelines: • * Safely work with heights and in tight working conditions from extension and step ladders • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely • Ability to use safe lifting procedures • Ability to use full range of body motion: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, bending and twisting.
