This role involves working on various HVAC systems, performing maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation. • Troubleshoot issues with air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration systems, diagnosing problems accurately. • Perform appliance repairs related to HVAC systems as needed. • Utilize mechanical knowledge to design effective solutions for HVAC challenges. • Weld components as necessary for system repairs or installations. • Provide field service support by responding promptly to service calls and ensuring customer needs are met effectively. • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used during repairs. JOB SUMMARY UT Southwestern is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician with a minimum of three (3) years of journeyman-level HVAC work experience to perform preventive maintenance on various buildings, systems, and equipment, such as electrical, air systems, deionized water system and plumbing systems, mechanical equipment, etc. and pro-actively maintain all aspects of assigned area of responsibility. Consults with customers on priority of work and assume full ownership of customer problems and equipment breakdowns. Serves as liaison between customer and Facilities Management. Start up, shut down and adjust equipment or systems in accordance with established operational, safety procedures and complete all UTSW required compliance training; adheres to internal controls and reporting structure. Works under general supervision to provide journeyman level skills in performance of work of two trades or crafts. Work Location: Dallas Campus; assist other UTSW locations as needed. Shift Requirement: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday; overtime when needed. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required • Education High School Diploma or equivalent or vocational school. • Experience 3 years skilled or journeyman level experience which includes one (1) year experience in a skilled maintenance trade. Preferred • Experience Commercial/industrial experience • **INCLUDE UPDATED RESUME AND COPY OF CERTIFICATIONS OR LICENSES WITH APPLICATION SUBMISSION*** JOB DUTIES • Performs preventive maintenance on various buildings, systems, and equipment, such as electrical, air systems, deionized water system and plumbing systems, mechanical equipment, etc. and pro-actively maintains all aspects of assigned area of responsibility and communicates with customer and supervisor of action taken. • Start up, shut down and adjust equipment or systems in accordance with established operational, safety procedures and complete all UTSW required compliance training, and adheres to internal controls and reporting structure. • Inspects systems and equipment for proper lubrication, calibration, vibration, seal failures, etc. and performs detailed inspections of equipment for proper operation. Inform appropriate personnel of unusual conditions, problems or deficiencies. • Support area shift coverage, after hours or extended projects as needed and assists in major maintenance repairs. • Remove, repair, and install heating or cooling coils on air handling and/or exhaust fans. • Documents conditions found and performs minor repairs, as appropriate, following departmental guidelines and serves as primary point of contact for customers for all Facilities Management services. • Makes recommendations in writing regarding major repairs and/or variances in frequency and type of preventive maintenance scheduled and performs preventative, predictive or corrective maintenance tasks. • Successfully participates in the Facilities Management sponsored in-house craft trade training program and attends maintenance training courses, area staff and safety meetings. • Performs other duties as assigned. HVAC Tech II 2nd Shift - Baylor University

Job Summary Our Commercial Service HVAC Tech II performs inspections, testing, repairs, servicing, and planned maintenance of HVAC Systems. Essential Duties • Diagnose and optimize performance of various HVAC systems including split systems, mini split systems, RTUs, WSHPs, CRAC units, chillers, and airside equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment proficiently. • Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial or residential HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement. • Successfully fulfills service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls, ensuring profitability is maintained. • Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction. • Participates in technician on-call standby rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures. • Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, as evidenced by past driving performance record. • Meets requirements of company vehicle driving policy, and adheres to all company safety requirements. • Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers. • Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle. Minimum Requirements • Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Service Technician. • High School Diploma or GED is required. • Two-year technical degree in related field is preferred. • Must possess required registrations, professional licenses and/or certifications as required by the position.
