Job description Blue Bell Creameries has three plants of which manufacture ice cream. We currently have opportunities for Refrigeration Service (HVACR) Technicians to join our team at the Brenham, TX location. The candidates should have great attention to detail, work in a team setting, and enjoy the challenges that a dynamic food manufacturing facility has to offer. POSITION SUMMARY: Provide direct technical support and repair for various refrigeration systems incorporating analytical thinking and mechanical aptitude to generate effective solutions throughout the Blue Bell market. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Technician Functions: • Electronically, mechanically, and objectively diagnose and repair all refrigeration equipment according to company job plan • Maintain a satisfactory inventory level of necessary parts at all times • Test all equipment in a timely; efficient manner and communicate any equipment deviations that presents any risk to company quality targets • Complete any ongoing training to maintain OSHA compliance and HVACR certification Inter-departmental Communication: • Effectively communicate resource constraints to Refrigeration Area Manager • Contribute to development of processes and work instructions for daily activities REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: One of the following is required as a minimum: • High School Diploma or equivalent, HVACR Certification, and 2 years of experience • Associates Degree in Refrigeration Field and HVACR Certification Preferred: • OSHA 10 • Two years’ experience with low temp units Other Requirements: • Class C Texas driver’s license • Work at least 45 hours a week (*_home on weekends_*) • Be able to travel 3-4 days a week to distribution centers for service (per diem offered for overnight stay based on company guidelines) • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds • This is an essential position that is subject to around the clock availability • *WE ARE A DRUG AND ALCOHOL-FREE WORKPLACE** Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Employee discount • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Schedule: • 10 hour shift Work Location: In person
