An HVAC Lead Installer's job is to lead and participate in the installation of HVAC systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. They also supervise and assist in preparing for the day, load equipment, lead lower-level technicians, and train apprentices. Key Responsibilities: • Installation: Install new HVAC equipment (furnaces, air conditioners, etc.) according to manufacturer specifications and building codes. • Supervision: Lead and train HVAC install assistants, ensuring work is performed correctly and efficiently. • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, and make necessary repairs. • Communication: Communicate with customers about the operation and maintenance of installed equipment. • Safety: Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, following safety protocols and procedures. • Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle, ensuring proper inventory management. • Quality Control: Maintain high quality standards for all installations. • Paperwork: Complete all required installation paperwork thoroughly and accurately. • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns. • Training: Train and mentor apprentices in the skills of HVAC installation. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the facility. This role involves troubleshooting system issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of all HVAC units. The technician will work closely with the facility maintenance team to ensure a safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient environment for all occupants. This position requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, technical expertise, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This on-site position will directly support our Maintenance operations at our Corsicana, TX facility. Essential Functions • Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air handlers, boilers, chillers, pumps, and control systems. • Conduct routine preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably. • Diagnose and resolve HVAC issues using appropriate tools and methods. • Monitor HVAC performance and recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance efficiency. • Collaborate with other maintenance team members on broader facility operations and emergency repairs. • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all work activities. Maintenance Technician II (HVAC)

POSITION PURPOSE: Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Maintenance Technician performs repairs or installations of varied types of mechanical and electrical systems in location facilities including off-location centers. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Installs, repairs, and maintains pumps, motors, HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, appliances, electrical equipment, electronic equipment, cables, phone and data lines, and lighting systems. • Operates and maintains specialized equipment such as refrigerant reclaim and recycling systems, vacuum pumps, leak detection equipment, computers, energy management controllers, and other electronic components. • Obtains, stores, safeguards and properly uses equipment, materials, supplies, and tools. • Keeps record of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects. • Serves in lead worker capacity as designated by supervisor. • Makes daily inspections of varied types of mechanical systems to determine need of required maintenance or repairs. • Performs other related duties assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Thorough knowledge of the problems encountered in the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment in varied types of buildings and structures. • Knowledge of all types of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. • Knowledge and experience working with electrical distribution systems • Knowledge of EPA regulations regarding the use, transportation, and reclamation of refrigerants. • Proficient in the use and operation of computer systems used in the maintenance and operation of the physical plant. • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and equipment operations manuals. • Ability to learn quickly from observations, and from oral and written directions. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Required: • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. • Experience with computer software relating to HVAC operation and building automation. • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in HVAC repair and maintenance. • Valid Texas driver’s license. • Must possess EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification (EPA 608). • Will consider any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability. Preferred: • Vocational or trade school training.
