Our crews work locally in various locations or travel to project sites throughout the country. A large volume of our work is located in Southern Arizona. We also have active work opportunities throughout the rest of Arizona, Texas, and elsewhere. Much of our work is federal, so employees sometimes have the opportunity to earn prevailing wages (Davis Bacon Act) based on their location. Description/Summary: The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an HVAC Engineer I. The HVAC Engineer I is responsible for assisting the Engineer Tech 1 for the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for the assigned property(s). Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) maintaining a clean and safe working environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, and performing day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance for assigned properties. • Assisting Engineer 1 and other staff as needed . • Ability of use of hand tools, portable metalworking tools, electrical, welding equipment, mechanical components and or equipment. • Maintain operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment and system, to include but not limited to, clean and safe work environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, performance of day-to- day preventive and corrective maintenance. • Inspection of engine room equipment, fan room equipment, cooling towers, motors, house pumps, electrical rooms, back-up generators, fire pumps, sump pumps, and ejector pumps. • Level 1&2 EPA certification . • Commercial HV AC/R Journeyman level training/certification at a college/trade school. • Able to perform duties of the General Maintenance 1. • Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government. • Please note that telework arrangements are subject to change based on customer requirements.
