PIONEER UNION ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT SKILLED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - (HVAC) Job Description Salary Column: U Number of Days per Year: 261 Longevity Payment: Yes Classified: Union – CSEA Job Summary Under the direction of the Maintenance, Operations and Transportation Director, the HVAC Technician performs skilled journey level duties in the inspection, servicing, and repairs of the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. Performs a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks in the trade areas of electrical, plumping, carpentry and masonry. Operates a school bus to designated locations to transport students to and from school; field trips; services school buses, and performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: 1. Demonstrate ability to read and write English at a level required for successful job performance 2. The equivalent of graduation from high school 3. Apprenticeship in heating, ventilation and air conditioning 4. Four (4) years experience in building maintenance, to include two (2) years experience in the repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems 5. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing 6. Pass background clearance from FBI and DOJ 7. Submit TB Clearance 8.
