This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC equipment while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment. • Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and diagnostic tools. • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems. • Perform equipment repairs, including refrigeration units and boilers. • Utilize mechanical knowledge to assess system performance and recommend improvements. • Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address HVAC-related concerns. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all service calls. • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of service activities. Requirements • Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC field. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals. • Familiarity with HVAC design principles, plumbing, and refrigeration systems. • Experience in appliance repair and field service operations is preferred. • Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters, other diagnostic instruments, and brazing/welding equipment. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various construction environments. • Valid driver's license is required, and must be insurable. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. • Must have EPA certification. • Must have a strong work ethic, can do attitude, and takes responsibility for his work product. • Willingness to learn.
