HVAC Technician

We are seeking an HVAC Technician for a 6+ month contract-to-hire role in San Luis Obispo, CA (93401) with a top telecommunications company! Job Summary: • Installs, maintains, monitors, and repairs all HVAC systems in assigned telecommunication facilities. • Completes all preventive maintenance tasks, including coil cleaning, filter and belt changes, lubricating bearings/motors, operational tests comprised of checking voltages, amperages, and refrigerant pressure,s and any other necessary tasks to keep HVAC and mechanical systems operating as designed. Responds to emergency calls within the market to analyze and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and/or other building-related problems to prevent or minimize network service outages. • Operates building management system to troubleshoot HVAC systems and maintain energy efficiency and power utilization targets. • Interacts with internal customers, contractors, suppliers, and engineers to exchange information to ensure systems run at peak conditions and identify end-of-life equipment for budgeting purposes. • Participates in commissioning activities and testing procedures to ensure new and modified equipment/systems are functioning as expected. Keeps detailed records of assignments, work activities and required equipment maintenance history Preferred Experience: • 2+ years of experience in HVAC • Ability to review and analyze schematic drawings • Ability to work autonomously, as you will be responding to tickets Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm OR 8 am - 4:30 pm. • **Must be EPA certified*** and a US Citizen or Green Card Holder who can work on W2. HVAC Service Technician

Description You will be responsible for managing a territory and servicing accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting all their HVAC service requests, and ensuring customers receive outstanding customer service from all HVAC departments. Lead HVAC Installer

About Homepatible Homepatible provides top-quality HVAC, smart home, and water heater solutions to homeowners. We are seeking an experienced HVAC Installer to join our team and help deliver outstanding service to customers across San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. What You’ll Do • Install, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems (air conditioning, heating, and ventilation). • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems. • Ensure all installations meet California Title 24 energy efficiency standards and local building codes. • Perform start-up testing on new HVAC systems to verify proper operation. • Maintain accurate job documentation and inventory of materials and tools. • Provide excellent customer service, educating homeowners on system usage and maintenance. • Work safely and efficiently, following Cal/OSHA workplace safety standards. What We’re Looking For • Minimum 2 years of HVAC installation experience preferred (but open to apprentices with strong work ethic). • EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal required). • California HVAC Certification or C-20 License is a plus. • Strong understanding of Title 24 energy codes and California mechanical codes. • Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy equipment, and handle physically demanding work. • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Strong teamwork and communication skills – you’ll work closely with customers and team members.
