We're seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Kitchen Equipment and Refrigeration Technician to ensure our state-of-the-art kitchens and onsite bakeries operate at peak performance. In this essential role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial kitchen appliances, refrigeration systems, and HVAC equipment for our 9 million square foot campus. Your expertise will help prevent equipment failures, minimize downtime, and support the seamless operation of our world-class culinary team. Key Responsibilities • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and commercial cooking equipment • Install, calibrate, and optimize kitchen ventilation and appliance systems • Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections • Ensure compliance with OSHA, refrigeration, gas, and electrical safety standards • Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to resolve technical issues Core Equipment You'll Work On • Refrigeration: Walk-in coolers/freezers, blast chillers, ice machines • Cooking Equipment: Commercial ovens, fryers, steam kettles, tilt skillets • Ventilation & HVAC: Exhaust hoods, rooftop HVAC units, make-up air systems • Dishwashing & Sanitation: High-capacity dishwashers, automated sanitation systems Live affordably in a city known for its rising tech talent. THE QUALIFICATIONS: • Two-year HVAC technical school degree, or years associated experience for Journeyman. • Working knowledge of HVAC-R equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, and required standards applicable to discipline. • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively represent the company in an ethical and professional manner and consistent with our values and mission. • Flexibility to work varying shifts; weekends, holidays and emergency on-call as needed. • Valid State Driver’s license, and able to travel to customer locations. • Ability to learn and use a Jamar software platform. • Must join local 11 Certification, License, Registration: • CFC/EPA Universal Certification Pay Range: • Wages and other benefits are paid in accordance with the Local #11 Collective Bargaining Agreement. • $40 -$45 per hour depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
