Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor. • Painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, tile, woodwork, and furnishings of building. • Maintain and repair buildings’ plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses. • Maintains grass & landscaping as needed. • Maintains a clean exterior of facility grounds. • Repairs parking lot and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete. • Maintains snow removal of sidewalks, entrances/exits and emergency exits. • Develop and communicate facility repair plans and communicate to supervisors. • Guest room inspections: inspect and repair walls, furniture, bathroom fixtures and flooring as needed. • Assist other departments as requested, including moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies. • Requisition tools, equipment and supplies. • Create and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors. • Repair and maintain all power equipment and machinery, such a hoses, wiring and belts. • Preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and machinery. • Additional duties may be assigned. Education and/or Experience Two years of experience in facility maintenance and/or two years of education/training in a maintenance related field; or equivalent combination of both.
