HVAC Technician

Overview and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, responsible for performing a variety of manual and technical work specifically related to the repair and maintenance of CVTC facilities and performing other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: • Maintains, operates and repairs facility systems including HVAC, chiller, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, air handlers, VAV’s, exhaust fans, air compressors, water treatment, etc. • Monitors,operates, and programs building automation system for efficient operation. • Maintains and installs DDC and pneumatic HVAC controls. • Familiarity with building automation, preferably Schneider Ecostruxure and Andover Continuem controls. • Experience with lighting control functionality and software management. • Performs general maintenance work including painting, mechanical, plumbing, and structural repairs to buildings and equipment. • Maintains inventory of preventative maintenance supplies including air filters, belts, etc. • Assists with maintenance of other building and program equipment as needed. • Assists with ice and snow removal including plowing and shoveling sidewalks and parking lots, as needed. • Working knowledge of HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance skills as related to commercial/industrial buildings.
