HVAC Mechanic

Job Title: HVAC Mechanic - Commercial Construction Position Overview: We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Commercial Construction team as an HVAC Installer for projects in Blacksburg and surrounding areas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate and grow your skills in the trade, along with training and teaching apprentices and helpers. Job Title: HVAC Foreman - Commercial Construction Position Overview: We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Projects Division as an HVAC/Sheet Metal Foreman for projects in Blacksburg and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for HVAC system installations on commercial construction projects including duct work, roof top units, VAV boxes, etc. You will also be responsible for onsite leadership, safety, accountability, support, and training of your crew. Reporting to the Dining Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort, efficiency, and reliability of our facilities. Key Responsibilities: o Install, Troubleshoot, and Repair: Manage hydronic heating and cooling systems, including steam, chilled water, and hot water systems. o System Components: Air handlers, energy recovery units, VAV boxes, fan coil units, pumps, variable frequency drives, valves, and piping. o Preventative Maintenance: Collaborate with the Dining Maintenance Manager and Supervisor to plan and implement effective preventative maintenance programs. o Training and Development: Provide hands-on training and support to trainee-level employees and identify educational opportunities for the department. o General Maintenance: Perform minor electrical, plumbing and dining equipment repairs as needed. o On-Call Rotation: Participate in the rotational on-call schedule, responding to after-hours maintenance calls when required.
