Electrician Journeyman- State of Delaware licensed

DiSabatino Construction, an equal opportunity employer, is looking for a journeyman electrician technician that is licensed by the State of Delaware DEFINITION: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. TASKS: • Installs electrical wiring, equipment, apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools. • Maintains and repairs or replaces wiring, equipment and fixtures, using hand tools. • Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures consistent with specifications and local codes. • Inspects systems and electrical parts to detect hazards, defects, and need for adjustments or repair. • Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices, such as multimeter. • Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools. • Readies and assembles electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using specifications and hand tools. • Prepares sketches of location of wiring and equipment or follows blueprints to determine location of equipment and conformance to safety codes. • Climbs ladder to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. 10. Constructs and fabricates parts, using hand tools and specifications. • Possesses electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations. • Directs and trains workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. STRENGTH: M-Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Project Overview: We are seeking four (4) skilled and State of Delaware licensed Journeyman Electricians for a significant projects in and around New Castle County. This is a full-time, project-based role. If you are a reliable professional with a Delaware Journeyman's License and are looking for your next challenging position, we encourage you to apply. Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM Responsibilities: As a Journeyman Electrician on this project, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems under general supervision. Your duties will include: • Installing, repairing, and troubleshooting wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and machinery components in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). • Interpreting and working from blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and manuals to complete assignments. • Installing and connecting power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in both new and existing facilities. • Installing, repairing, and calibrating control and distribution equipment, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, and circuit-breaker panels. • Testing electrical circuits and systems for continuity, compatibility, and safety using appropriate meters and testing equipment. • Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and installing electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threaders, and conduit benders. • Maintaining safe working conditions and ensuring the safe operation of all electrical installations on the project site. • Keeping accurate daily records of materials used and labor hours. Qualifications & Skills (Required): • Valid State of Delaware Journeyman Electrician License (Mandatory) • Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical installation, repair, and maintenance. • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards. • Ability to use all standard hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing instruments. • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work the specified shift hours for the project's duration. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
