Department Facilities - Maintenance Responsibilities • Alters, installs, maintains, and repairs wiring conduits, fittings, and fixtures in the repair of and renovation of buildings. • Performs installation and repair of electric motors, generators, heaters, coolers, etc. Locates and corrects above and below ground power failures and short circuits in buildings. Maintains electric distribution of primary and secondary electric power. • Reads and follows blueprints, oral instructions, and written repair orders. • Maintains tools and equipment in a safe and workmanlike manner. Performs other related work as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications • High school diploma and four years' experience, or a post high school education and four years' experience. A relevant technical or vocational degree/certification may substitute for experience. • An active State of Florida or Local Journeyman or Master Electrical License is required. • Must have a valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver’s License or the ability to obtain upon hire.
