The apprentice will work under the supervision of licensed journeyman and master electricians while gaining hands-on experience in commercial, residential, and/or industrial electrical systems. Pay Range $28 per hour • Assist journeyman and master electricians with installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. • Pull wire, bend and install conduit, mount panels, and connect outlets, switches, lighting, and other electrical devices. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. • Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment safely. • Measure, cut, and prepare materials as directed. • Follow OSHA safety standards, company policies, and trade regulations at all times. • Document work hours accurately for state apprentice licensing requirements. • Participate in ongoing classroom instruction or related training as part of apprenticeship progression. Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Oklahoma Electrical Apprentice Registration Card through the Oklahoma CIB (renewed annually). High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Basic knowledge of electrical tools, materials, and safety practices preferred (training provided). Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in varied environments (indoor, outdoor, confined spaces, heights). Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites. If no degree, must work towards at least an Associate degree per Oklahoma Department of Career and Technical Education (ODCTE) certification requirement in the area of instruction. Health related instructional areas must meet the educational requirements set forth by the program’s approval body and/or accrediting agency. CERTIFICATION: Eligible for ODCTE and/or the Oklahoma State Department of Education (SDE) and/or any accrediting agency’s requirement for teaching credentials in the career major(s) being taught. EXPERIENCE: • Must meet the current experience standards set forth by any approval body and/or accrediting agency. • Minimum of three (3) years successful work experience within the last five (5) years in the Career Pathway or Career Major to be taught is preferred. • Successful teaching experience in a Vocational program is a plus. • Any other experiences that could be associated with the delivery of instruction and supervision of students will be considered. DEPENDABILITY: Regular attendance following a designated work schedule. Must be able to work extended hours and additional days/evenings as required for the responsibilities of the position. Must be able to attend and participate in meetings/conferences as scheduled within the district, state, or other states. PHYSICAL/MENTAL STANDARDS: • Able to read and comprehend various and extensive documents, regulations, and reference materials.
