Summary A Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the electrical safety of the facility/site in which he/ she works in. He/she is responsible for reporting, troubleshooting, and preventing electrical problems daily. He/she is responsible for efficiently and effectively installing electrical equipment and material to complete assigned tasks. Required Qualifications/Experiences: • Must have a Journeyman or Masters License for a specified state • Possess personal hand tools to perform routine electrical work • Attention to detail and initiative to be self-motivated and directed • Must have working knowledge of current national electrical and city codes • Knowledge of electrical systems and components • Knowledge of Motor Controls and PLC’s • Install and /or replace electrical circuits indoors and outdoors • Troubleshoot electrical circuits and determine what measures need to be taken • Plan, layout and install electrical wiring, equipment and/or fixtures • Current TWIC card or ability to acquire • Valid Drivers License Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Attend daily safety briefings. • Maintain safe working conditions at all times. • Maintain condition, functionality and use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times. • Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools. • Strip insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers and attach wires to terminals for termination. • Drill holes and pull or push wire through openings, using hand and power tools. • Thread conduit ends, connect couplings and fabricate and secure conduit support bracket, using hand tools. • Dig trenches or holes for installation of conduit or supports. • Break up concrete to facilitate installation, construction or repair of equipment. • Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment. • Other duties may be assigned by the Project Manager. • Demonstrate and attain CDL Core Values: SAFETY, PEOPLE, INTEGRITY, ACCOUNTABILITY & EXCELLENCE. • Demonstrate and attain CDL Core Focus: CUSTOMER SERVICE.
