The Construction Electrical Supervisor is primarily responsible for the supervision and management of electrical work. They will work under supervision of the Electrical Field Construction Supervisor and should have an extensive understanding of the importance of general construction and electrical safety procedures. The ideal candidate should have substantial knowledge of electrical circuits, and comprehension of electrical assessments, repairs, and installs for industrial construction projects. They should also possess a willingness to think outside of the box to achieve goals, maintain schedules, and execute tasks safely. They need to be able to prioritize tasks, and communicate clearly with the other trades on site to maintain smooth work streams. Responsibilities · Supervising and managing subcontractors during assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems. · Reading blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified. · Performing routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems. · Determining the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints, and maps. · Following established safety practices and procedures. · Assisting the commissioning team to bring pieces of equipment online, as well as various troubleshooting tasks Desired Skills include: · 10 + years experience. · Exceptional supervisory and communication competence. · Attention to detail and ability to convey information accurately to managers, peers, customers, subcontractors, etc. · Proficiency with local codes and the National Electrical Code. · Experience reading mechanical and electrical plans and blueprints. · Current driver license. · High School diploma or equivalent. Qualifications include: · Journeyman Electrician in the state of Texas. · Experience in Commercial and Industrial Construction. · Comfortable with electrical testing equipment. · Must have reliable transportation as travel is required. · Ability to maintain a safe working environment by administering and adhering to Company safety protocol and OSHA safety requirements. • Ability to work and delegate work based off blueprints, charts, tables, work orders, and verbal instruction, and organize assigned work from start to finish. • Supervise all activities of electricians and apprentices. • Repair electrical issues by installing and/or replacing wiring, electrical devices, and electrical components in an effective and timely manner. • Inspect jobsites and evaluate electrical team routinely. • Communicate clearly with other trades and team members, subcontractors, and customers, job progress and potential needs or concerns. Other Important Requirements: • A clear Criminal Record Check is required. • Must provide own steel toed work boots, all other PPE supplied. • Must be able to reliably commute to the operations site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work. This is a highly skilled position requiring a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and processes.
