Sr. Industrial Electrician

The Senior Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining calibrating and troubleshooting electrical and process control systems to ensure optimal plant performance. This role supports the Snyder Quarry and may assist nearby facilities as needed. Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate to the Snyder OK area. Apprentice Electrician (Snyder, Texas)

Position Summary: The Apprentice Electrician is an entry-level position that assists in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution and transmission systems. This role involves working under the guidance of a Distribution and/or Transmission Supervisor and requires a strong commitment to safety, the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and the willingness to work in various outdoor environments, often in challenging weather conditions. To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Essential Functions:  Electrical Installation & Maintenance: Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical distribution and transmission systems, including wiring, conduit, and electrical equipment.  Cable & Conduit Work: Help with pulling, splicing, and connecting electrical cables and wires, as well as installing conduits and other electrical components.  Transformers & Equipment: Assist with the installation and maintenance of transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical apparatus for distribution and transmission lines.  Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE, adherence to minimum approach distances, and safe handling of tools and equipment.  Basic Wiring & Terminations: Learn and assist with basic wiring techniques, terminations, and grounding procedures for both distribution and transmission systems.  Troubleshooting & Testing: Support the identification and troubleshooting of electrical faults, using testing equipment to ensure proper voltage, continuity, and functionality.  Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order, reporting any issues to the Supervisor.  Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.  Communication: Effectively communicate with the Distribution and/or Transmission Supervisor and team members, ensuring clear understanding and execution of tasks. Other Functions:  Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in electrical systems.  Assist with other tasks and projects as directed by the Distribution and/or Transmission Supervisor.  Follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members to complete assignments efficiently. Position Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL preferred but not required. Must pass a background check, MVR check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical examination. Experience & Skills: No prior experience required, but a background in electrical work or construction is an advantage.  Demonstrated commitment to safety and effective communication skills.  Strong willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks and equipment.  Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations.  Basic knowledge of electrical principles, safety practices, and tools is an advantage.  Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks, including working at heights or in confined spaces. Work Environment: This position operates primarily in outdoor environments at various job sites, requiring exposure to different weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow.
