Position Overview: The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of electrical construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves supervising field crews, managing project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. The Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader, providing guidance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the project progresses smoothly and efficiently from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: • Project Oversight & Management: Supervise and manage the daily activities on electrical construction projects, ensuring that all electrical work is completed according to project specifications, within established timelines, and in compliance with local codes and safety standards. • Team Supervision: Lead and manage electrical crews, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring that all team members follow safety protocols and work efficiently. Monitor crew performance, provide training, and motivate team members to meet project goals. • Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in coordination with project managers, ensuring that work is completed on time and in alignment with the overall project plan. Coordinate work with other trades and subcontractors to minimize delays or conflicts. • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed, ensuring it meets company standards, industry regulations, and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections and address any deficiencies immediately to maintain the highest quality and workmanship on the project. • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with OSHA guidelines and company safety policies. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective measures to ensure a safe work environment for all crew members. • Material & Equipment Management: Ensure that all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly maintained on the job site. Track inventory, coordinate with procurement teams for deliveries, and manage any material shortages to prevent work stoppages. • Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project costs to ensure that the electrical work stays within the budget. Work with the project manager to address any cost overruns, manage labor costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety. • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, project managers, and other stakeholders on the job site. Communicate project status, any issues or delays, and ensure that client expectations are met. Address and resolve any client concerns on-site. • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise on the job site, such as design discrepancies, unforeseen conditions, or resource shortages. Work with the project manager and other stakeholders to find effective solutions. • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work performed, materials used, manpower hours, and any issues encountered. Submit regular progress reports to the project manager and keep detailed logs for project tracking and future reference. • Project Close-Out: Ensure that all electrical work is completed according to project specifications and that the job is ready for final inspection. Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings, warranty documentation, and any other necessary close-out documentation for the client. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent (required). An associate’s degree or certification in construction management or electrical technology is preferred. • 5+ years of experience as a superintendent, foreman, or similar role in electrical contracting, with experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial projects. • Relevant certifications, such as OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and Electrical Journeyman/Master Electrician credentials (preferred). Electrical Engineer

Salary: DOE Position Summary: Assist in the design and planning of the Cooperative's electric system to ensure reliable, safe and cost-effective facilities are planned, constructed and maintained at the lowest reasonable cost consistent with good engineering and business practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in establishing and maintaining engineering and construction standards utilizing software applications including, but not limited to, computer aided drafting (CAD) and solid modeling. • Perform duties of System SCADA controller, as warranted. Includes monitoring the SCADA system, initiating commands when necessary and other tasks associated with SCADA operations and the SCADA system. • Perform duties for the design, installation, and maintenance of the SCADA system and distribution automation schemes. This shall include installation and wiring of components, installation of cabling, building of display screens, database maintenance, report development, assisting with remote switching operations, troubleshooting communications and control wiring, programming Remote Terminal Units, and making system repairs as required. Assisting with the preparation, implementation and documentation of engineering reports, studies and investigations. • Take a proactive role in the Outage Management System (OMS) program to develop and maintain their operations and promote further development and improve efficiency. Also promote integration with the AMR System and SCADA Systems to further improve outage response and restoration efforts. • Assist the Director of Operations and Engineering with comprehensive studies and analysis of new technology. • Assist with installation, wiring, programming, interrogation, and maintenance system protection and operation of IED (Intelligent Electronic Devices) and field communications equipment. • Assist with field inspections of the distribution system and system improvement and construction work orders. • Become fluent with the maintenance and analysis of the system engineering model including its interactions with the GIS, CIS, OMS, AMI, MDM, and SCADA systems. • Assist in preparing, distributing, and maintaining all necessary maps, records and engineering data. • Preparing engineering reports, computations, cost estimates, specifications or other engineering details. • Keeping abreast of and applying new or improved engineering and management techniques, standards and practices. • Keeping current on methods and procedures of position and available for training in other positions, with the objective of increasing the employee's value to the Cooperative and preparing for advancement. • Stays familiar with and observes all safety rules as set forth in the Cooperative Safety Manual. • Performing other such duties as may be requested or assigned to fulfill the needs of the Cooperative in the interest of good management practices. • Assisting other Cooperative employees to implement Cooperative objectives and policies, as required. Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, plus a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in an electric utility, or closely related industry; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Job Knowledge: As a condition of employment, successful completion of the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering examination) and EIT certification must be completed within the first 12 months of employment. Eligibility for future registration as a licensed PE (Professional Engineer) in the state of Texas upon completion of the required years of experience, and the PE examination is required. Abilities and Skills: • Must be able to investigate, analyze, and research topics and be able to prepare engineering reports, studies and training materials. Should possess at least a minimal level of understanding regarding communications, public relations, customer service and analysis of complex technical topics. • Requires strong analytical skills and excellent organization. It also demands a person with exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to relate ideas, concepts and enthusiasm to members, subordinates, peers and superiors with varying levels of technical expertise. Proficiency with computers and software such as Windows/Microsoft Office, computer-aided drafting, databases, and engineering software is required. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including proper punctuation, grammar, and spelling; excellent organization abilities including the ability to handle competing priorities, work on projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and concentrate amid confusion and produce under pressure; ability to work independently as well as with individuals and teams. • Decision making, problem solving, and research skills are also important. • Must possess a valid Texas drivers license with a good driving record. • Must reside within a 20-minute commute to the Cooperative Headquarters office in Fredericksburg. Working Environment: Works in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal physical exertion in generally accepted office conditions. Occasionally, some duties may be performed outside with exposure to weather extremes. Activities include working at a computer and interacting with members, business representatives, the general public and CTEC employees via telephone, personal visits and written communication which require frequent sitting, standing, walking, stooping, reaching and grasping. Physical dexterity and coordination is required for the operation of personal computers, tablets, telephones and other typical office machinery. Specific vision abilities required include close, color and distance vision. Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance. Occasionally travel to worksites. Occasional after-hours work for system operations and storm response should be expected, and occasional meetings will occur outside the normal workday. Substation Tech

Salary: DOE Position Summary: Responsible for system operations including calibration, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, and repairs of substation equipment such as transformers, voltage regulators, breakers, protective relays, and other technical equipment. Assist with any technical problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform maintenance and inspection on substation equipment by following a time-based maintenance program according to the Cooperatives Substation Equipment Maintenance Standards Plan, manufacturer recommendations, and NERC compliance. • Maintain and repair OCRs, transformers, and regulators. Performs tests and repairs as directed. • Assist in the construction of substations. Assist in the installation of equipment in substations. • Assist personnel of District Offices with problems relating to technical equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints and work orders, applying this knowledge in the field. • Test and inspect substation battery banks and chargers by strap impedance, cell voltage, cell impedance, specific gravity, temperature, charging current, and bank voltage. • Analyze test results on equipment and recommend practical cost-effective solutions for equipment performance and repair. • Responsible for compliance with the Cooperative's safety rules, safety policies, and procedures. • In addition to these responsibilities, may be assigned by the District Operations Supervisor to perform other duties from time to time. Education: High school diploma or equivalency is required. Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification. Experience: Must have a working knowledge of REA construction specifications, which include all residential service, commercial services, single-phase, two-phase, and three-phase line construction. Must have a working knowledge of substation maintenance and working with protective relay equipment. Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of theories of voltage regulation, fault current, and coordination of line protection devices in order to perform responsibilities. Must be familiar with the feeds of all transmission lines and distribution substations and the operation of all substations and switching stations. Abilities and Skills: • Must possess a valid Texas Class A CDL driver's license with good driving record. • Must be able to communicate in English, both in written and oral forms with the general public and co-workers. • Must possess the ability to climb and work from elevated positions in structures and from ladders. • Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds or more, as necessary. • Must have sight to be able to see working conditions from a safety standpoint. • Must have good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to maintain proper safety while performing job duties. • Must be able to frequently sit, bend, stoop, and squat; occasionally push and/or pull, reach above shoulder level, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and twist; and be able to walk distances over uneven terrain.
