About the position The Overhead Electric Field Safety Representative at InterCon Construction, Inc. is responsible for overseeing safety practices in assigned work areas, providing training and support to personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities • Oversee assigned work areas and ensure compliance with safety regulations. , • Provide mentoring, coaching, and guidance to employees on safe work practices. , • Conduct safety inspections and follow-ups related to HSE activities. , • Serve as a contact for agency inspections and inquiries. , • Assist in investigating incidents, injuries, and near misses. , • Analyze workplace incident trends and frequencies in assigned work areas. , • Assist in developing and implementing preventative measures based on incident findings. , • Maintain HSE performance reporting data for assigned work area. , • Lead and facilitate training sessions on HSE performance and incident analysis. , • Monitor and ensure regular testing of safety equipment and tools. Requirements • Associates degree in safety science or related field preferred. , • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Journeyman Lineman or in overhead electric and safety training. , • Proficient in Microsoft Office. , • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. , • Basic understanding of underground gas & electric distribution construction practices preferred. , • Knowledge of DOT and overhead electric tooling and equipment. , • Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations. , • Valid state driver's license with a good driving record.
