This position is responsible for supporting our construction and preconstruction divisions in preparing electrical estimates in all market segments, including all quotations and subcontractors required for a project. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Accurately estimate labor, materials, and administrative costs for assigned projects Interface with Management, the Preconstruction team as well as Project Managers, and General Foreman to compile detailed estimates on a tight deadline Accurately interpret design drawings submitted by customers or engineers Read and understand the specifications of a project Utilize estimating software to estimate projects properly Seek quotation of materials and subcontracts KEY REQUIREMENTS: Minimum (2) year degree in electrical construction or equivalent experience Experience with conceptual estimating, low voltage systems estimating, & design/build estimating preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and virtual meeting software Strong computerized estimating skills Familiarity with McCormick Estimating Software preferred Positive attitude and a team player Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction.
