Summary Guth Electric is looking for a Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to support our on going growth initiative. The person will be responsible for the installation of electrical frameworks, as well as the detection and correction of faults in existing electrical systems. Capable to work in commercial, industrial and residential locations. Major Job Duties 1. Follow state and local regulations based on NEC 2. Read, interpret and execute drawings, schematics, blueprints and code specifications. Test electrical systems using tools to determine where issues may be occurring. 3. Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation 4. Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices 5. Determine the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints and maps. 6. Use ladders, scaffolding, platform and lifts to work on electrical systems in residential homes, on roadside poles and in commercial/industrial properties 7. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor. Other Job Duties • Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; report any issues to immediate supervisor. • Carrying standard equipment and parts with you at all times. • Commuting between the locations at which you will work. • Available to work flexible hours, including weekends. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent. • Valid state license that permits you to practice as a journeyman/journeywoman electrician. • Be a critical thinker with experience in all facets of electrical work. • An active listener with top-notch verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and the capacity to mentor Apprentices on the team.
