FTF Electrician Instructor-Tech College Faculty

JOB Job Description Electrician Instructors are responsible for teaching various courses as assigned.We seek instructors who are dedicated to excellence in teaching and who desire to make a difference in the lives of our students. Teaching assignments will be located at the Riverland campus of Albert Lea. The instructor may be assigned to teach in a traditional classroom and lab format and online, hybrid, and interactive television formats. Classes meet during daytime hours.The candidate must be able to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and college laboratory assistants in lab settings, demonstrate knowledge of and experience in assessment of student learning outcomes, participate in department meetings, curriculum development, and college-wide committees, and maintain ongoing professional development activities. Salary Range: $44,144.00 - $73,690.33 Minimum Qualifications Education RequirementTwo-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program. Occupational Experience RequirementFour full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial. Recency RequirementOne year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. Professional RequirementState of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License Preferred Qualification Industrial and commercial experience.PLC experience and data networking, structured wiring.Knowledge of electrical circuitry.Experience with electrical energy systems, precision agriculture, or manufacturing sectors.Iowa Master Electrician License or ability to obtain one.Classroom and online teaching experience.Good communication, listening, and human relations skills.An ability to work with a diverse student body, including multilingual or multicultural and underserved populations.Bilingual/multilingual fluent in Spanish, Somali, Karen, Anuak, Nuer, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations.
