POSITION OVERVIEW: The Journeyman Electrician provides skilled electrical support to maintain the continuous operation and reliability of production equipment in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role works collaboratively with electricians on shift, supports the Electrical Maintenance Manager, and ensures proper inventory management of electrical components. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ø Apprenticing Registered non-licensed Electricians. Ø Provide technical assistance and support to fellow electricians during troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime. Ø Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical equipment and machinery. Ø Backfill the Electrical Maintenance Manager role as needed, including oversight of daily operations, assigning tasks, and managing schedules. Ø Order electrical parts and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels to support continuous manufacturing operations. Ø Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes. Implement effective solutions to restore equipment functionality. Ø Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, procedures, and electrical codes to ensure a safe working environment. Ø Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to identify improvement opportunities that enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Ø Maintain clear and precise documentation of repairs, inventory transactions, and other maintenance activities. Ø Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following: Minimum Requirements Ø High school diploma or equivalent required. Ø Valid Journeyman Electrician license required. Ø Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Ø A strong background in industrial electrical, VFD, PLC, HMI, motors, sensors, and other electrical devices. Ø Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. Ø The ability to use a multimeter and other electrical troubleshooting tools. Ø Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ø Ability to effectively backfill supervisory roles and manage team dynamics. Ø Experience with Excel and Office is a plus. Preferred Requirements Ø Working experience as an electrician in a canning manufacturing facility. Competencies Ø Strong problem-solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approach. Ø Ability to work independently and with a team. Ø Must be able to look at new solutions and “think outside the box.” Physical Requirements: Ø While performing the duties of this job, team member is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of electrical systems and a strong commitment to safety and quality. This role involves working on various electrical projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations. Duties • Study plans, drawings, specifications and work orders to determine the work required and the sequence of repairs or installations. • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes including the National Electrical Code. • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. • Install electrical materials and circuits safely in a neat manner and according to local codes, including the National Electrical Code. • Keep accurate records of materials, time and equipment used to perform the work. • Communicate professionally with customers so that work is to their requirements. Job Abilities • Lift and pull heavy objects, sometimes exceeding 50 pounds. • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as ammeters, and test lamps. • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs safely to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects. • See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). • Bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. • Manipulate or assemble objects with hands.
