Junior Construction Project Manager

R/S Electric Utility is an Electrical Contractor whose installation and design-build expertise is exceeded only by our commitment to serve and deliver for our clients, including investor own utilities, municipalities, engineering firms and alternative energy such as solar and wind projects. R/S Electric is looking for a entry level project manager/estimator based out of its Kansas City, Missouri office. This is a great opportunity if you graduated within the last 1-2 years with limited experience or a college senior and will be graduating within the next year. This candidate will support our lead estimators and project management team with projects that include design-build of electrical systems, utility work, traffic signal, street lighting and any associated general trade work associated with the above. Essential Functions • Manage tasks including quantity take offs of electrical projects, change orders, subcontractor and supplier quotations, review of bills of materials, specification reviews, document control, and process flow. • Communicate and collaborate with the executive team, project managers and field personnel, and perform other duties as assigned or requested for the support of the organization. • Help manage efforts for submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiation, and related activities. • Manage multiple projects • Manage each phase of the project including design, permitting, bidding, contracting (administration and change order review), construction and project close out. • Plan, organize and direct electrical construction including, electrical deliverables, overall safety, cost, scheduling and quality of assigned projects. • Develop project execution plans for project staffing, budgeting, scheduling and establishing critical project objectives. • Ensure that the project review process and other quality control guidelines are followed. • Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems. • Deliver outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients needs. • Protect operations by keeping company information confidential. Skills, Attributes and Education • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science and Management, Architecture, Electrical Engineering or degree in similar engineering or architecture or construction field. • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills, and written, verbal and presentation competence. • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications. Preference to those also proficient in BlueBeam • Familiar knowledge of construction components, processes and methodologies. Electrical experience is preferred, but not required. • Completion of, or ability to obtain, OSHA -10 Hour Construction Safety Training. • Ability and willingness to travel to construction sites, , as needed. • Ability to deal effectively with clients on project-related matters. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Flexibility to work, and ability to adapt, to the rapid changes of a market-driven environment. • Excellent time management skills including ability to perform multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently. Lineman - Journeyman

Description JOB TITLE: Lineman Journeyman REQUISITION: DIS00UB DEPARTMENT: St Joseph LOCATION: St Joseph Service Center PAY: $52.66 Headquartered in both Kansas City and Topeka, Evergy employs about 4,900 people who are dedicated to empowering a better future. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for Lineman Journeyman in St Joseph, Missouri. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES Constructs, tests, maintains, removes, repairs, and operates the underground and overhead distribution system. Performs all electrical and non- electrical related duties. Does substation work requiring the skills and knowledge of a Journeyman Lineman. Performs all work in a safe manner and in accordance with the Company's established safety rules and guidelines. Participates in regular safety training as scheduled. Drives and keeps trucks, equipment, and tools in clean condition and makes written report of vehicle or equipment trouble to Fleet Services. Mounts and removes chains when necessary. Performs minor, operator - level service on trucks in the field that does not require the installation or removal of parts. Helps or changes tires in the field. Operates equipment necessary to perform work assigned including, but not limited to, bucket trucks, digger derricks, pressure diggers, boom trucks, trenchers, and other equipment. Performs tree trimming when necessary to accomplish the work. Performs other minor duties of a similar or related nature that are incidental to the work of this classification and not in conflict with the collective bargaining agreement. Qualifications EDUCATION: High School or equivalent EXPERIENCE: Candidates who have not performed the work of Journeyman Lineman at Evergy must be able to document successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship program for Journeyman Lineman or have a minimum of two years' work experience as a Journeyman Lineman. Experience must include documented, satisfactory performance of all standard tasks and responsibilities of a distribution lineman working for a public electrical utility and/or recognized utility contracting company. BIM Designer

Duties and Responsibilities • On a day to day basis, the BIM Design Team Manager will work with Designers, Planners, and Engineers to provide assistance in delivering projects with unprecedented value to our customers. • Be comfortable leading a team of other BIM Designers. • Model product primarily utilizing Revit and AutoCAD MEP. • Provide dimensioned working/shop drawings for field installation and prefabrication, as well as, provide as-built record drawings at the end of the project. • Only those employees that are reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and who display a good attitude will be considered. Qualifications • A strong electrical mechanical background is preferred to understanding constructability of electrical systems. • High level of self and team organization skills. • Excellent leadership skills. • Revit experience and detailed understanding of its files, families, schedules and work sets. • Knowledge of BlueBeam and computer trends/technology. • Strong organizational and analytical skills. • 1-3 years managing drawings is a plus. • Regular, and possibly daily, travel required to project locations between Kansas City and St. Joseph, MO – or – St. Joseph, MO and Omaha, NE.
