Have working knowledge of National Electrical Code. • Must pass Instrument/Electrical Journeyman entrance level qualification test. • Know how to test circuit and/or object to ensure it is de-energized. • Be able to draw basic flow diagrams • Correctly operate the following test equipment: Volt-ohm meter; Ammeter; Megger; TIC meter; MA calibrator • **Troubleshoot/Tune instrument control loop. • **Perform/troubleshoot the following: FVNR 3 phase 460 vac starter; Ladder diagrams; Change rotation of a 3 phase motor; Size heaters for 3 phase motor; Size fuses for 3 phase motor; Locate open, ground, short 1 phase; 3 phase 230/460 vac D.C. motors. • **Ability to change out and calibrate the following transmitters: Temperature; Pressure; Magmeter; pH; Conductivity; Turbine meter; Density meter; Orifice flow D/P • **Be able to program, tune, operate, troubleshoot and repair the following equipment: SLC 100/150/500 and PLC 5 programmable controllers; All starter types (Wye-Delta, Reversible, Two Speed, Soft); Air Compressor controls; Chiller/Air Conditioner controls; All types of motors; Vary speed Controllers AC and DC;Light fixtures of all types Required Skills: • Ability to see colors • Ability to operate multiple tasks simultaneously.
