Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams. The Electrician will work closely with other tradespeople on construction sites, ensuring that all electrical work meets safety standards and regulations. Duties • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems. • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks. • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems. • Renovate existing electrical installations to improve efficiency or comply with updated codes. • Build and frame carpentry structures as needed for electrical installations. • Troubleshoot issues with logic controllers and low voltage systems. • Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations. Requirements • Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within the construction industry. • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety protocols. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. • Familiarity with low voltage systems is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients. • Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations. About the Role: As an Electronics Technician you will construct, maintain, and test electrical systems, machinery, and components. Conducts preventative maintenance and identifies parts for replacement. Location: Atchison, KS Shift: 2nd shift Pay: $30.40 – $33.40 Key Responsibilities: • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, using testing devices • Effectively use ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes. • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards. • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic equipment. • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. • Work with DC to 480-volt 3 phase electrical systems and check for 13000 volts and how to disconnect safely. • Carry out preventive maintenance per the schedule and work instructions provided • Work from ladders, power platforms, and roof. • Keep work area clean and clear after maintenance completed. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Must have Electronic Technician certification or Vocational/Technical college relevant experience (Passing Electronics Test) Experience: • 1-2 years in industrial maintenance or similar setting • Three phase motors with 220v and 480v or hire voltage • Experience with13000v preferred • Testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using test devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system Skills and Knowledge: • Able to read electrical blueprints • Knowledge of building and safety codes • Able to read and interpret work instructions and requirements/specifications • Knowledge of machinery repairs i.e., motors, gear boxes, controls, etc. • Able to occasionally lift 50 lbs. Instrumentation and Electrical Technician

MGP Ingredients, Inc. produces flour, starch, protein, alcohol, and feed. The production plant operates 24 hours per day - 7 days per week. • Knowledge and ability to learn electrical work. Have working knowledge of National Electrical Code. • Must pass Instrument/Electrical Journeyman entrance level qualification test. • Know how to test circuit and/or object to ensure it is de-energized. • Be able to draw basic flow diagrams • Correctly operate the following test equipment: Volt-ohm meter; Ammeter; Megger; TIC meter; MA calibrator • **Troubleshoot/Tune instrument control loop. • **Perform/troubleshoot the following: FVNR 3 phase 460 vac starter; Ladder diagrams; Change rotation of a 3 phase motor; Size heaters for 3 phase motor; Size fuses for 3 phase motor; Locate open, ground, short 1 phase; 3 phase 230/460 vac D.C. motors. • **Ability to change out and calibrate the following transmitters: Temperature; Pressure; Magmeter; pH; Conductivity; Turbine meter; Density meter; Orifice flow D/P • **Be able to program, tune, operate, troubleshoot and repair the following equipment: SLC 100/150/500 and PLC 5 programmable controllers; All starter types (Wye-Delta, Reversible, Two Speed, Soft); Air Compressor controls; Chiller/Air Conditioner controls; All types of motors; Vary speed Controllers AC and DC;Light fixtures of all types Required Skills: • Ability to see colors • Ability to operate multiple tasks simultaneously.
