This Smithfield location focuses on food processing only (no live animals). The project scope includes electrical service upgrades, underground work, primary and secondary conduit installations, new gear, and MCC installations. The Lead Electrician will be responsible for the coordination, oversight, and execution of all electrical tasks onsite, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the duration of the project. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and supervise a crew of 24 electricians • Interpret and work from construction documents, blueprints, and schematics • Manage daily operations and ensure work aligns with project timelines and specifications • Perform hands-on electrical installations, including: • Primary and secondary conduit work • Underground electrical work • Installation of electrical gear and motor control centers (MCCs) • Maintain job site safety standards • Coordinate with project managers and site contacts for planning and progress updates Qualifications: • Must hold a valid Iowa Electrical License • Strong experience leading crews on industrial or commercial projects • Proficiency in underground electrical work and conduit installation • Knowledge of MCCs and industrial electrical systems • Reliable and self-motivated with leadership capabilities • Local candidates preferred, but travelers will be considered Compensation & Schedule: • Up to $45/hour based on experience and qualifications • Flexible hours: standard 40-hour week or optional overtime (up to 10-hour days) • Overtime is offered but not required About the Company: Confidential
