JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for performing electrical wiring duties in a commercial setting with some supervision. Position responsibilities include: read blueprints, install conduit and cable tray, coordinate and help set up large cable pulls, install switchgear, distribution panels, transformers, and other electrical gear, and perform other electrical duties related to general construction operations. Must be proficient bending 90s, offsets, and saddles in 1/2" through 4" EMT, GRC, and IMC, depending on the level of schooling. • Test circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and megger. • Follow designated job specifications. • Perform basic motor control wiring duties. • Help coordinate and set up large cable pulls. Pull and splice wire, knowing circuiting. • Lay out electrical work with assistance depending on the level of training or schooling. • Install switchgear, distribution panels, transformers, fire alarm systems, trim, lamp fixtures, and other electrical equipment as needed. Wire three phase motors and transformers. • Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes as needed. • Perform trenching and excavating duties.
