Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under limited supervision. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Maintenance Technician Specialist Electrician The Maintenance Technician-Industrial Electrician will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various equipment/facility issues, implementing and maintaining electrical preventative maintenance across all equipment and systems, installation/upgrades of plant equipment, organizing service needs from outside vendors, directing and instructing other maintenance technicians as required for successful effective maintenance at the Danville site. Job Core Responsibilities • Performs maintenance, service and repairs of a complex nature on assigned equipment or systems • Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains existing electrical and mechanical systems and associated equipment including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, CNC equipment etc. • Follows detailed operational instructions, procedures and blueprints while conducting maintenance activities • Performs preventive maintenance tasks and provides required reports • Determines preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment and trains equipment operators to perform routine maintenance • Maintains a safe and effective work area/environment, using appropriate personal protective and safety equipment • Supports the Facilities Function as needed • Other responsibilities as assigned • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary Job Specifications Education: High School Diploma required. Associate's degree in industrial maintenance or engineering technology is preferred along with Master Electrician License or related experience. Certifications: Vocational training in a related field preferred. Years' Experience: 2-4 years' experience of significant experience with industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment is required. Formal training/certification on hydraulics/pneumatics, PLC's, industrial low/high voltage & machine mechanics are highly desired. • Working knowledge of electromechanical and electrical systems • Must have effective oral written communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills and strong analytical/problem solving skills. • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office. • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills • Multi-tasked, flexible, open minded • Analytical, fact-based problem solver • Commitment to Continuous Improvement • High Degree of attention to detail • Ability to recognize and solve typical problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods • Experience in working within a team environment and able to adapt to changes in work requirements We offer a comprehensive and competitive total compensation package.
