Job Description As an Electrical Service Technician you will be required to perform all types of electrical service work in commercial, residential, and healthcare environments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: • Troubleshooting and completing electrical circuits, lights, relays, sensors, motor starters, etc. • Receiving and completing work orders • Wiring • Bending, threading, and installing EMT and galvanized rigid conduit • Completing transformers, motor control, switchboards, and lighting applications • Reading blueprints, drawings, schematics, and other reference material • Training Electrician apprentices • Operating tools and equipment according to company and OSHA safety procedures • Working in commercial, residential, and industrial environments Qualifications • STATE electrical license is required. • 5+ Years of experience recommended • Must be able to work with little or no supervision • Willingness to travel outside of Lexington to perform work as needed • Good customer relation and communication skills • Knowledge of good safety practices such as NFPA 70E, lock out/tag out, PPE, etc. • Eagerness to work collaboratively as part of a larger team • Valid driver's license • Own your own hand tools • Proficiency with NEC and local codes • Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening Benefits/Culture Today, we are listed among Engineering News-Records Top 150 Specialty Contracting firms. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components/systems such as switch gears, motor control centers (MCCs), panels, CT cabinets, transformers, conveyor systems, lighting, power supplies, and devices using various hand and power tools. • Bend/Install conduit such as: EMT, Rigid, PVC, Aluminum, and O-CAL. • Install and terminate various types and sizes of conductors/conductor systems. • Use test devices such as multimeters, clamp-on meters, insulation testers, and ground resistance testers, to troubleshoot and verify the safety of electrical components and systems. • Inspect systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. • Direct and train team members in proper methods to install, maintain, test, and repair electrical systems, equipment, or components. QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical industry. • Ability to install conduit, wire, and cable systems as required. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams. • Ability to install and terminate panels, switchboards, and other electrical equipment. • Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on faulty circuits, equipment, or systems. • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. • Kentucky Electrical License (EE or ME) preferred. • OSHA 10-Hour preferred. • High standard of integrity and professionalism.
