Fire Alarm Technician – Licensed Electrician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lead Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical, Fire Alarm systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems, including fire alarms and low voltage systems. • Foster a positive team environment by working collaboratively with other technicians and office/scheduling staff • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and compliance with safety standards. • Perform field service tasks, including troubleshooting issues with alarm systems and providing effective solutions, communicating with managers and office team on follow ups for the customers etc. • Work with various hand tools and power tools to complete installations efficiently. • Maintain knowledge of the NFPA, Life Safety 101, and National Electrical Code (NEC) as it relates to Fire Alarm Systems. • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships • Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the company's quality standards and safety regulations. What We’re Looking For • Vermont Journeyman Electrician License • Type S License or TQP License • Vermont Master Electrician License • Minimum 4+ years experience in fire alarm, or electrical work • Ability to lift 100 lbs, work safely on step and extension ladders, work with hands above head for wiring and fire alarm testing etc. • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license • Clean criminal background • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Schedule • Full-time position • Flexible options: 4x10 or 5x8 schedules • Monday–Friday with some on-call rotation Compensation • Hourly Pay: $25 – $39/hour (pay range depending on experience, licenses, and certifications) • Annual Range: $50,000 – $75,000+ • Overtime opportunities available Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee discount • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • On-the-job training • Opportunities for advancement • Paid time off • Relocation assistance • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
