Solar Electrician

Company Description Same Sun of Vermont focuses on solar sales, service, and EV Charger installations for homes and businesses in Vermont, New York, and New Hampshire. The company promotes and increases awareness of solar technology and its benefits—environmental, economic, and pride of ownership—to create a #happysolar community. Role Description Scopes of work would involve Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging systems, as well as O&M and troubleshooting work. Travel statewide and to parts of New York and New Hampshire is required. Ideally seeking a relationship with an established and licensed Electrician for steady subcontracting, which could grow into steady employment. Growth potential for the right candidate. No evenings or weekends, great team and benefits. Applicant Requirements: • Registered in the State of Vermont as a licensed Electrician (NH a plus). For out-of-state licensees, position would be contingent upon starting the transfer process immediately • Solar-related work experience a plus, not required • Residential & small commercial electrical experience required, large commercial / industrial experience a plus • Experience with installing new and upgrading existing services, wiring main distribution/sub panels (MDP, MLO) and switchgear, building unistrut support structures, running/terminating communication cables (ethernet, RS-485) • DC (low or high voltage) experience a plus, but not required. Must be willing to learn. • IT experience, knowledge of communication protocols a plus • Positive attitude, team player, reliable, on-time • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and comfortable working with tall ladders and on rooftops (not afraid of, but respectful of heights) • Ability to effectively communicate with Management, Operations/Project Managers, crew members, sub-contractors and customer • Must have valid driver’s license and own reliable means of transportation • OSHA-10 certification preferred • Background check may be required • Resume AND Cover Letter (required). Apprentice Electrician

About Us: Omega Electric Construction is a fast-growing electrical contractor serving commercial and industrial clients across Vermont. Whether you’re just starting your apprenticeship or progressing through the program, we want to hear from you! Position Summary: We’re hiring 1st through 4th Year Electrical Apprentices to assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems under the guidance of licensed Journeyman and Master Electricians. As you grow through the program, you’ll take on more responsibility, develop new skills, and work toward becoming a licensed electrician. Key Responsibilities (Varies by Year): • Assist in installing conduit, pulling wire, setting boxes, and mounting fixtures. • Learn and follow jobsite safety protocols and NEC regulations. • Read and interpret basic blueprints and diagrams (advances with experience). • Operate power tools and hand tools safely. • Help with material handling, jobsite cleanup, and organization. • Perform basic to advanced troubleshooting (by 3rd–4th year). • Participate in training and classroom instruction as required by apprenticeship program. • Work as part of a team and support crew leaders and journeymen on projects. Qualifications: • Enrolled in or eligible for a certified electrical apprenticeship program. • 1st to 4th Year apprentice level (we are hiring for all levels). • High school diploma or GED required. • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn. • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work from heights, and perform physical tasks daily. • Basic knowledge of tools and materials (more expected at higher levels). • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
