Vermont and Massachusetts licenses a plus. Commitment to safety standards and use of personal protective equipment Proficiency with electrical codes, methods and tools of the trade, computations of voltage, amperage and resistance with basic algebra. Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, wire circuit drawings Valid driver's license and safe driving record. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to lift up to 80 pounds Skill at identifying and purchasing job materials, tracking and maintaining stocks of supplies, accounting for all time and supplies used by job daily. Jobs are interesting and varied: Commercial and Industrial - Indoor and outdoor lighting, piping and wiring new buildings, troubleshooting, additions and renovations of existing electrical infrastructure, level 3 DC and level 2 AC electric vehicle charger installation, fire alarm inspection, generators, projects with single or 3-phase power. Residential electrical - wiring new homes, panel upgrades, home electrical renovations, etc. Focus on sustainable solutions - Smart Homes, Solar, Automatic Generators, Battery Backup Systems. Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer

Description: Precitech designs and manufactures ultra precision machining solutions for freeform diamond turning, milling, and grinding which are used to produce optical lenses, mold inserts, mirrors, and precision mechanical components. Our machines produce rotationally symmetric, asymmetric, freeform, and sculpted geometries with form tolerances in the sub-micron range and nanometer surface finishes. The Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer will manage and direct the design and specification of wiring lists, schematic and circuit boards, and controls components for use in ultra precision, computer numerically controlled, machine tools. Collaborate and partner with various internal teams to deliver and support products in the field, including marketing/product managers, application engineering teams, manufacturing teams, and service teams. Primary and secondary responsibilities will include: • Conceptualize and engineer new, unique electrical and eletromechanical systems that meet customer requirements. • Represent panel layouts, schematics, wire run lists, and assembly procedures using CAD systems and documentation such as Bill of Materials, specificaitons and routing instructions. • Troubleshooting electrical noise and transients, controllers, servo systems, PMAC (programmable Multi-Axis Controller) or other sophisticated electronic equipment. • Perform engineering changes according to standard procedures with extreme attention to detail of the design, how the engineering changes will affect disposition of past, present, and future effected products and documentation. • Actively participate in product design reviews and work directly with the engineering staff to develop cost effective solutions. • Contribute to written instruction and opertaion manuals for Precitech's products. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of work experience or Master's Degree with 3+ years of work experience in Electrical Engineering. • Experience using electrical equipment such as signal generator, multimeter, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer. • Highly proficient in analog and digital signals and systems design and analysis. • Exceptional domain knowledge in advanced signal processing principles and theorems. • General programming knowledge is desired: C, C++, or similar. • Experience in analyzing frequency and phase response plots to assess system behavior. • Proven ability to apply signal processing techniques to optimize real-world applications such as control systems. • Experience with amplifiers, filters, encoders, motion controllers, and feedback loops. • Experience using Matlab in modeling, data analysis and simulations. • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills are needed. • Excellent problem-solving skills through structured approach and solution generation in a timely manner. • Travel to customer sites up to 10% of the time.
