Journeyman Electrician for Resort Operations

POSITION SUMMARY The Journeyman Electrician is integral to maintaining the electrical systems within our resort. You will actively identify electrical hazards and recommend corrective actions to enhance the safety and efficiency of our operations. Working in close collaboration with the Senior/Master Electrician, you will troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, providing a seamless experience for our guests. This is a full-time, year-round position with a competitive pay range of $30-$35/hr based on experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Respond promptly to maintenance work orders. • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks on electrical systems. • Troubleshoot various electrical systems and implement effective solutions. • Support our snowmaking operations with proactive maintenance in pump houses and related equipment. • Be available for after-hours maintenance calls when necessary. • Make quick, informed decisions to minimize guest impact during repairs. • Communicate efficiently with management to reduce downtime. • Adhere to safety policies and consistently wear appropriate PPE. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational School Diploma • Preferred: Technical Diploma, Associate Degree, or relevant college coursework • Vermont State electrical apprenticeship certificate • Valid Vermont State Journeymen Electricians license (or ability to obtain within one year of hire) • 2-4 years of job-related experience QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS • Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) • Able to work well in a team or independently • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics • Familiarity with electrical symbols and ladder logic • Experience with PLCs is a plus, but not required • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS • Minimal travel required PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS This role may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays. The majority of your work will be outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions, including cold, wind, and rain. You will perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and navigating uneven terrain.
