Job Description This job description is reflective of a Meter Electrician C role. Additional responsibilities and qualifications are required for the higher-level B-A roles. What you'll do: The Meter Electrician C will install and maintain self-contained electric meters energized up to 240 volts in the shop and on customer premises. • Read meters as required for field order and on schedule for cycle billing. • Install, remove, change disconnect, and reconnect meters. • Test singlephase, network, and polyphase self-contained meter for proper operation and accuracy. • Program meters. • Perform Credit and Collections related order including disconnect and reconnect for non-payment. • Investigate irregular usage. • Investigate energy diversion. • Repair meters, meter sockets, and meter enclosures. • Order, receive, ship, store, and inventory meter and associated equipment. • Investigate self-contained service power quality problems, install event recorders, neutral testers, and produce reports. • Perform work from ladders and elevated platforms.
