Service Electrician

Electrician- New Jersey/ Philadelphia Area

ELECTRICIAN NJ/ PHILADELPHIA AREA: Under the direction of the Regional Maintenance Manager complete repairs, installations, upgrades and Preventive Maintenance on Building and Equipment Electrical Systems Duties: The following list represents typical duties performed by individuals in this position. Specific duties performed by an incumbent will vary depending upon the employees' skillset and ability to learn. The basic job description is as follows: • Ability to maintain and trouble shoot HVAC and Building Electrical systems up to 480vac. Inspect and Repair basic drive components, which include sheaves, sprockets, pulleys, belts, AC/DC drives, gear reducers, PLC's, VFDs, 480vac motors, photo eyes and limit switches. • Electrical work: installing breakers, running circuits, ballasts, trouble shooting. Understanding High Voltage Power distribution and the ability to manage and work with these systems. • Installation of Variable Frequency Drives on pumps and fans. (Typically Yaskawa) • Infra-Red studies and reports, work with contractors for completion and documentation. • Maintain the buildings and grounds associated with the DC. Maintain roofing systems working with Corporate Maintenance for capital projects and vendors for repairs. • Repair pole and exterior lights at all locations at ~40-50' heights. • Install, service and repair Energy Management Systems/Building Automation Systems. (Andover by Schneider Electric) • Maintain all required OSHA paper work. • Other locations and duties as assigned. • Hours of work - 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, Overtime and Weekend work as needed. This position will require person to be available to take call at any time. Call schedule to be scheduled by the Regional Maintenance Manager. Qualifications: A high school diploma and at least 5 years of Basic 480vac distribution systems. Trade school or education background in controls could substitute for experience. Must be willing to travel to locations as required to install/troubleshoot and repair as needed. Must possess valid driver's license.
