Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking a motivated and talented in-house Journeyman Electrician who enjoys working on a variety of electrical systems and installations to include premise wiring, industrial control, motor control, and research and development (R&D) projects. Donaldson is a leader in Technology Lead Filtration and provides filters and filter systems for a variety of industries. As a growing organization we have over 14,000 employees and looking for a talented Journeyman or Master Electrician to join our team. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Bloomington, MN office. Role Responsibilities: • Perform electrical duties as required and assigned to deliver a safe, efficient, and reliable electrical system for our facility. • Planning and installations of electrical premise wiring and industrial control systems. • Capable of troubleshooting, debugging and maintaining a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment. Knowledgeable in the operation of motor control systems, lighting control systems, HVACR systems and power distribution systems. • Lead in-house and contract electricians on electrical projects as assigned. • Partner with in-house technical professionals on day to day facility operations. • Perform independently the work and duties required of Journeyman Electrician with a focus on quality installations. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with the Electrical Services Supervisor and customers in a fast pace, changing environment. • Responsible for documenting design changes and providing as-builts. • Familiarity in the compliance and application of NEC, OSHA and Electrical Safe Work Practices • Keep current on new codes, code changes and new wiring methods. Able to apply the following industry standards into the design/build of facility and R&D systems: NEMA, ANSI, UL, IEEE, NFPA and IEC. • Assist and guide engineers, technicians and tradesman on a wide variety of research and development projects. • A working knowledge of Fire/Burg Systems, Voice/ Data/Video and Limited Power Systems. • You will be required to be on call every 4th week. • Other duties may be assigned as needed. Minimum Qualifications: • Must possess a Journeyman Electrician License or better from the State of MN upon hire • 1+ years of Journeyman Electrician experience Preferred Qualifications: • Two-year Technical College degree in the field of Industrial Electricity or a four-year certified apprenticeship training program or equivalent. • Masters Electrician License • Electrical experience including Industrial and Commercial installations, Electrical Plant maintenance, and a working knowledge of HVACR applications. • Ability to work in a corporate and R&D environment and interact with managers, engineers, technicians, scientists, electricians, and other staff. • A strong background in troubleshooting and debugging electrical systems and equipment. • Experience in the layout, design and installation of electrical systems and equipment. • DOT physical exam for equipment use • Forklift certified Hourly Pay Range: $33 - $55, depending on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
