Facilities Electrician

Electrician The Musco Facilities team has an opening for an Electrician at our Oskaloosa office. The Facilities Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across all facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role supports construction, renovation, and ongoing maintenance projects to meet organizational needs. Essential Criteria: • High school diploma/GED • Four years apprenticeship in electrical field and have, or be able to, acquire electrical license. • Journeyman’s Electrical License is preferred. • Valid US Drivers’ License required. • 1+ years of previous electrical work or other trade experience. • In-depth knowledge of commercial wiring installation best practices. • Proficient with computers, including Excel, Word, and related software. • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks independently, using sound judgment. • Maintain a valid Iowa driver’s license and perform work on private or community projects as required. • Strong communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders. Roles and Responsibilities: • Install conduit, pull wiring, and complete electrical connections in commercial and light industrial environments. • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues to maintain safe and efficient operations. • Utilize electrician tools to repair or replace breakers, switches, lighting, ballasts, and related components. • Collaborate with facilities team members on remodeling, renovations, and new construction projects. • Install manufacturing equipment, machinery, and HVAC electrical connections. • Support office relocations by preparing workstations, setting up furniture, and ensuring electrical access. • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. • Provide general maintenance and repair support across all Oskaloosa facilities. • Respond promptly to service requests and document completed work. • Other duties as assigned.
