Reporting to the High Voltage Shop supervisor, your roles and responsibilities include: • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and controls across utility and production environments at The University of Iowa. • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on switchgear, breakers, motors, lighting, and instrumentation. • Support operation and repair of medium voltage systems (600V-15kV) under the guidance of High Voltage Electricians. • Diagnose issues in motor control centers, variable frequency drives, and building automation systems. • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. • Plan work sequences, coordinate outages, and document maintenance activity. • Participate in scheduled on-call rotations for maintenance coverage as needed.
