Employee is also responsible for maintaining records of maintenance work performed, and for determining and recommending alterations to control system specifications to increase efficiency. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Inspect, equipment for malfunctions maintenance needs and breakage and performs necessary maintenance and/or repairs; diagnoses problems and causes of equipment failures. Diagnoses problems and repairs malfunctioning equipment; maintains electrical systems, performing routine maintenance as scheduled and repairs as necessary; maintains units as necessary. Works on and maintains various electrical systems including CATV, networking, circuit, telephone, 120v-480v systems, lighting replacement, pumps and Energy Management Systems. Prepares and maintains logs and records of maintenance and repair work performed, submitting and/or filing such documents as requested or otherwise appropriate. Researches newly developed electrical specifications for various system, determines feasibility and appropriateness of alterations to existing City systems and makes recommendations to supervisor, as appropriate, makes authorized alterations. May help assign, direct and supervise activities of operational personnel assisting in electrical repair or related work, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures and standards. Paid Leave: Accrue 96 hours of vacation per year, accrued hours increase after 5 years of service based on years of service. Accrue 96 hours of sick leave per year.
