Lead Electrician

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrician to oversee and execute electrical projects across various industrial and commercial sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in electrical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading, with the ability to lead a team of electricians and ensure compliance with safety standards such as NEC and low/high voltage regulations. This role involves working on construction, renovation, and maintenance projects, requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management. Responsibilities • Lead and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites and industrial facilities. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute electrical systems. • Install, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, multimeters (Ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment. • Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems. • Ensure all work complies with NEC standards, safety codes, and local regulations. • Supervise a team of electricians, providing guidance on technical tasks and safety procedures. • Conduct inspections of electrical work to ensure quality standards are met. • Assist with renovation projects involving framing carpentry, schematics interpretation, and general maintenance person tasks as needed. • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and safety logs. • Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and project specifications. Qualifications • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems installation and maintenance. • Extensive knowledge of NEC standards, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics reading. • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, Ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment. • Experience working on construction sites with familiarity in blueprint reading and schematic interpretation. • Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems. • Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required by construction or renovation projects. • Prior leadership experience in supervising electrical teams is preferred. • Additional skills such as renovation work, framing carpentry, maintenance person experience, or construction site experience are advantageous. • Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations is preferred.
