Maintenance Electrician A

Maintenance Electrician A Hourly Rate: $27.77/hour Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician A to join our team and ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our building and automated production electrical systems. This role is critical in keeping our equipment running at peak performance through expert installation, repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities • Electrical Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of building and automated production electrical systems, including motors, controllers, and electronic controls. • Technical Troubleshooting: Use advanced test equipment (multimeters, amp meters, meggers, oscilloscopes, digital meters, calibrators, etc.) to diagnose and repair electrical/electronic circuits. • System Installation: Install conduit, electrical equipment, wiring, and make electrical adjustments while ensuring proper phase relationships. • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. • Blueprint & Schematic Work: Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and schematics; create and update electrical diagrams and circuit designs as needed. • Training & Collaboration: Provide training and mentorship to Class B Electricians; collaborate closely with maintenance and production teams to resolve issues. • Mechanical Integration: Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs that impact electrical functionality. • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate work orders, service records, and maintenance logs. • Communication & Coordination: Partner with supervisors to address material shortages, equipment issues, or operational concerns. • Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications • Proven experience as an industrial or maintenance electrician in a manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and automated equipment. • Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics and technical drawings. • Proficiency in using a variety of electrical test and diagnostic tools. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical issues. • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
