Duties • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations during all work performed. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and logic controllers for various tasks. • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements. • Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently, including frame carpentry and maintenance person tasks as needed. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements • Valid journeyman/journeywoman electrician license or equivalent certification. • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. • Background in residential electrical work is preferred but not mandatory. • Comfortable consulting home owners on all matters of electrical safety and renovation • Willing to engage with costumers • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
