Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and removal of all alcohol monitoring devices • Fulfill daily operational duties of assigned facility which include: • Operate a clean, organized and hazard free work environment • Conducts training sessions covering use of products to customers • Maintain a positive and caring atmosphere for customers and employees • Consistently perform monthly inventory audits • Assist other shops in surrounding area when applicable • Management of daily hours, ensuring 40 hours or less weekly • Correspondence with management and/or lead technicians when challenges are presented • Maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and security of client information • Adherence to all state and federal rule, regulation and statute • Any other duty, as assigned Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent • 1 years' experience with 12V • 1 years' experience in a customer service role • Basic computer skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Detail orientation PHYSICAL DEMANDS • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, kneel, and stand regularly while installing alcohol monitoring devices into tight spaces. • The employee frequently is required to walk, reach or crawl. Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Reporting To: Manager, Site Engineering Work Schedule: Onsite – Christiansburg, VA Our Industrial Group is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (EE) for the Christiansburg facility. In this position, you will have a very wide scope of responsibilities required for the successful execution of a highly technical program. Your responsibilities will primarily be design-related, but also include project management, systems engineering, production support, and Assembly/Test. Responsibilities include everything it takes to develop, build and ship hardware to a customer. You will be responsible for identifying project needs throughout all phases of execution and addressing any gaps that arise. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will: • Work on highly complex tasks across multiple projects and often require innovative solutions under minimal supervision. Supervision is generally required in the form of technical consultation, and you’ll be given general direction and expected to drive tasks to completion. • Interact with other employees and display an understanding of company values to both internal and external customers. You’ll be a project driver and exert ownership over multiple aspects of multiple projects. • Switch between different internal responsibilities including Assembly and Test, resource coordination across the plant and campus, external supplier communication, strategic coordination between different departments and business units. • Effectively train other employees and give presentations to audiences (internal or external) and effectively represent your team on review panels and cross-organizational teams. Write convincing documents, proposals, or other items with all backup material needed for external consumption. • Drive efforts for design reviews, customer visits, and demonstrations. Travel to customer sites or other locations for program efforts having a direct influence and interaction with external customers. • Participate in tasks that have an impact not only on their team, but also other teams being a key resource for tasks that have a large level of impact outside of your role. • Take the initiative to learn new tools and technologies and demonstrate a high level of knowledge of technical competency in multiple areas. To be considered for the Electrical Design Engineer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. • Experience with high frequency circuit design, board layout, and test equipment. • Comfortable in a lab environment or at an external test site. Familiarity with electronic test equipment and test practices. • Ability to understand project needs and identify steps required to advance project forward. • Strong analytical skills, required to fulfill the demands of design and development of new products and to develop solutions in concert with customer requirements, Assembly/Test, supply chain, contracts and other groups connected to Design and Development of new products. • Ability to effectively communicate technical and programmatic information and to manage competing priorities of multiple stakeholders. • Understanding and balance between driving forces behind the design that are not solely focused on design elegance, but include end use, cost, manufacturability, timing, supply chain stability and resource availability.
