Overview: Currently seeking caniddates that can supervise and execute electrical construction projects primarily in the natural gas industry. The project superintenent must be capable of leading and managing electrical operations onsite and requires a broad knowledge of industry requirements and best practices. Position requires a strong focus on project planning, execution, and cost. This position is a travel position and jobsites can range from OH, WV, PA, NC, VA, NY, KY, MI (working a 10 and 4 schedule). • *Bi-Con Services employees working in safety-sensitive positions are drug and alcohol tested under the federal DOT regulations.Testing is conducted for pre-employment, on a random basis (according to the requirements of DOT), reasonable suspicion and post-accident (according to the requirements of DOT.) Under DOT regulations, marijuana, whether with a medical prescription or not, is considered an illegal substance. Responsibilities: Maintains an environment focused on Bi-Cons Safety Culture. Provides leadership and direction to crew including but not limited to; safety, quality, customer relations, employee relations, productivity, job costing and scheduling. Plan, coordinate, and manage the activities of projects from start to completion. Directs daily huddles and project reviews to maintain project schedule. Completes daily call-ins to office Project Manager to discuss project issues. Facilitates site daily walk around with appropriate personnel to maintain safety, project schedule, cost and overall effectiveness. Develop, direct, and mentor assigned crew for personal growth objectives and the growth objectives of the Company. Address issues and implement measures to improve efficiency, quality of service, workforce utilization and equipment performance of the project. Complete responsibility for quality assurance and NEC compliance on projects. Maintains employee records to include time, attendance, performance issues, etc. Attend and participate in the monthly safety call. Turn in weekly Take 5 observations Other duties as assigned; to include general laborer duties. Qualifications: 10+ years in progressive leadership role with demonstrated skills and substantial knowledge of electrical and construction industry. Detail-oriented, organized and ability to multi-task in a high-volume, deadline driven environment. Demonstrated project, crew management and leadership development skills. Must hold Journeymans license in the state of West Virginia. Excellent problem solving, time management and decision-making skills. Ability to write weekly reports, process time sheets, interpret policies/procedures, perform meetings with crew and layout work. Ability to develop and manage project budgets. Ability to use hand tools and ladders. Simple grasping, dexterity and fine motor skills required. Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and communicate company procedures, safety rules, operating instructions, customer requests, etc. Must be willing to travel in a 400-500 mile radius of Cambridge, Ohio. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal.
