Ideal candidates for this position will be responsible for assisting with performing skilled level electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures in accordance with standard practices of the electrical trade. Job Responsibilities • Perform work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds for both high and / or low voltage. • Check and replace faulty switches, sockets, and other simple elements of electrical systems such as lighting fixtures, tubes and ballasts. • Inspect and test electrical lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits. • Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electric equipment. • Measure, cut, thread and install electrical conduit. • Troubleshoot and repair electric controls, motor control centers and programmable logic controls. • Maintenance and repair of motors • Maintenance on control boxes and starters • Maintenance on PLCs, variable speed drives etc. • Replacement of parts as needed • Installing and removal of machinery • Maintain records and files • Procedures for lockout/tag out • Orderly work environment • Perform other related duties as may be required by Management. • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time throughout the country.
