Electrical Technician

2nd shift (Monday-Friday) 2:30 pm-11:00pm The Electrical Technician will Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power, control systems and complex automation projects. Perform preventative maintenance work of electrical power/control equipment. Assist the power and control supervisor in small projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES. Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power and control systems, and circuitry and components; repair and calibrate electrical/electronic controls as assigned. Install/wire new electrical equipment and projects. Assist in capital projects, power/control upgrades and changes, and electrical documentation upgrade and change. Perform preventative maintenance work as scheduled. Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains high quality standards. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS • Requires a high school or vocational school degree or equivalent. • Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering a plus. • Minimum five years of electric power and two years control experience. • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) literacy with current and past technologies. • Industrial automation and controls experience. • Must have Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License. Electrical Test Engineer

Electrical Test Engineer 12 month contract On-site in Newton, MA Must be able to work on a W2 Position Summary: The Electronic Test Engineer will be a part of the R&D organization and an important contributor to the realization of the next generation robotic platform that will change the future of healthcare. You will be a technical resource working on development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies. There will be direct contribution from prototype to verification builds and tests within a regulated medical device development environment. This role is suited for a hands-on, R&D electronic test engineer proficient in detailed testing of electronic printed circuit boards, debugging electronic issues, performing soldering and mechanical reworks related to PCBAs, constructing prototype cables/harnesses for testing and updating eCAD part libraries. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate in creation and refinement of test cases • Collaborate in creating test environment • Execute PCB tests for design verification and characterization • Perform soldering reworks for prototype updates and test point harnessing • Debugging electronic issues and determining root cause • Constructing cables and harnesses for test fixtures and prototypes • Support in repairs and updates to existing prototype robotic systems • Support documentation in accordance with EVR quality system • Maintain and update eCAD part libraries Qualifications: • Minimum of 3 years work experience in testing electronics • Bachelor’s degree in Electronical engineering or similar. Associate’s degree with experience is acceptable. • Experience in heavily-regulated industries such as medical device, or aerospace is desired • Must know how to evaluate at least 3 of the following: Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, BISS-C, motor commutation • Must have hands on test experience • Deep understanding of PCBA testing during official design verification is highly desired • Must have excellent soldering skills and experience • Outstanding documentation and communication skills required • Strong fundamentals for electronics is desired
