Electrical Technician

2nd shift (Monday-Friday) 2:30 pm-11:00pm The Electrical Technician will Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power, control systems and complex automation projects. Perform preventative maintenance work of electrical power/control equipment. Assist the power and control supervisor in small projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES. Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power and control systems, and circuitry and components; repair and calibrate electrical/electronic controls as assigned. Install/wire new electrical equipment and projects. Assist in capital projects, power/control upgrades and changes, and electrical documentation upgrade and change. Perform preventative maintenance work as scheduled. Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains high quality standards. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS • Requires a high school or vocational school degree or equivalent. • Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering a plus. • Minimum five years of electric power and two years control experience. • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) literacy with current and past technologies. • Industrial automation and controls experience. • Must have Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License. Staff Electrical Engineer - Substation (Northeast Region)

Description Responsible for substation engineering and consulting services for clients across the US and internationally. Main responsibilities include creating electrical protection & control and/or physical layout design deliverables. Projects range in size, complexity, and voltage class from small distribution facility upgrades to large transmission projects. This position can influence the future of the resiliency, reliability, and economic operation of the electric grid. Principal responsibilities include the design of high voltage (13kV-500kV) electrical substations. Areas of design and responsibilities include leading and executing the following: • Preparation of proposals and scope development, including conceptual designs and execution plans. • Prepare engineering cost and labor estimates and schedules. • Physical substation design including yard layouts, plans, sections and details, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, auxiliary AC/DC power systems, and associated bills of material. • Protection and control design including panel arrangements, one lines/single lines, three lines, AC schematics, DC elementaries, equipment wiring and relay panel wiring. • Preparing calculations and reports for engineering studies. (grounding, lightning protection, AC/DC load studies, etc.) • Preparing equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testing. • Coordinating design activities with other departments. (Civil/Structural, Networks, Transmission Line, others.) • Providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members. • Regularly meeting with and corresponding with clients or outside personnel. • Performing quality reviews for other engineers and designers. • Providing short term field support during construction. • Supporting business development and marketing initiatives. • Other areas of involvement may include relay settings, 3D/intelligent design, or industry/professional technical committee involvement. • Performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering from accredited program. • Minimum 3 years related experience. (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience) • Completion of FE exam strongly preferred. • Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards. • Strong preference for those with: • Excellent written & verbal communication skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Capability of solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard approaches, techniques, procedures and criteria. Compensation $120,000.00-170,000.00 Yearly The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. Senior Electrical Engineer - Substation (Northeast Region)

Description The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of projects including power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government and military facilities. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs. • Lead electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers. • Prepare electrical equipment: packaged equipment specifications and data sheets, Request for Qualifications (RFQ's), technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations. • Review electrical equipment vendor drawings; data interface with suppliers, clients other engineering disciplines, detailers, designers. • Participate in development of project schedule, scope, budget staffing planning and construction planning. Responsible for effective management of change orders. • Applies expert knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry. • Applies knowledge and experience to complex projects, find non-standard design solutions. • Quality review production drawings for a variety of projects and project related data as required by the project managers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software. • Quality review the construction administration including coordination with field personnel to resolve design related installation issues, calculations, field inspections and testing of electrical systems. • Leads field inspections, installation, measurements or calculations for public and private clients. • Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications. • Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors and develop new business opportunities. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met. • Participate sales and marketing efforts and identify key pursuits. • Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance. • Prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates.
