Hope Power & Industrial Inc. is a national specialty manpower resource. Our customer is an industrial Electrical Construction contractor with immediate need for experienced journeyman electrician and top helpers in Clemson - Pendleton, SC area. Perform new and upgrade electrical systems at waste water treatment plant expansion installing new and replacement electrical system of conduit wiring cable tray and cable to electrical systems. 2-3 month term assignment. NOTE: Most work is outside exposed to enviornment - Typical woork week is 4 -10's + 5 hours on Friday. This project is a WWTP. Locals preferred: No per diem or travel expense available. Need immediately: Journeyman Electricians and top helpers with commercial or industrial experience to assist the team with installation, upgrades and repairs to water & waste treatment plants. Benefits and Pay Range: • Pay range of $17-$27 DOE (Per diem NOT available) • Benefits Available (Health, Vision, Dental, Life) • Able to work with minimal supervision • Highly technical • Versatile in industrial environments • Able to multi-task • Capable of training newer electricians • NCCER or state electrical certification (not required but is a plus) We are looking for a candidate with knowledge about: • Show up evrery day on time and perform they are assigned tassk! • NEC Code • Running jobs big or small • Sizing requirements for feeders • Tooling requirements for jobs • PPE and Safety • Lighting, transformers, motor control, and switchgear Journeyman Electricians & Leadman A Journeyman Electrician / leadman with 5 years experience will be working in a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment specifically within the industrial environment of a water or wastewater treatment facility. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles and safety, often involving work with various equipment like motors, pumps, and control systems found in these critical infrastructure settings. Leadman will be directing a crew of 2-3 other electricians. Top Helper Qualifications • At least 2 years of verifiable electrical experience needed for Top Helpers. Must be capable or running conduit, hanging cable trays and pulling wire. Must be proficient in bending and running conduit, cable tray, PVC, (EMT and some rigid) Provide All PPE and electrical hand tools required for consideration Must have reliable transportation All Candidates must be skilled in: • pulling wiring and cabling • Threading, Bending and Running EMT and Rigid conduit size 1/2"-3" • Computer applications relevant to the job (Microsoft Office, Outlook, ERP) • Using mathematics to perform electrical calculations • Interpreting information from rough sketches, plans, drawings, and specifications • Replacement of electrical fixtures and devices Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, work from a ladder or scaffold, work overhead, and perform without hindrance activities that involve repetitive reaching, stretching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and/or bending. They must also be able to work in varied climate conditions, and should possess good balance, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and the stamina to perform physically demanding construction work. Above all, a candidate must be able to safely perform the duties and responsibilities normally and reasonably expected of a tradesperson in their position. Additional Requirements and/or Expectations • Applicants must pass a mandatory drug screen. • Applicants must pass a criminal background check • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation.
