More information is available on our website https://www.sswtechnologies.com/ Job Summary: The Onsite Electrician Class I will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems. Key Responsibilities: • Perform all duties in a safe manner • Interact in a professional manner with other employees/customers • Work overtime as necessary • Installs, replaces, repairs, and maintains electrical systems throughout the plants, equipment, and machinery • Attend meetings as directed and take ownership of all tasks assigned • Support Maintenance and Operations • Experience with electromechanical systems • Perform preventive maintenance tasks per the PM software and/or as assigned • Create workorders within the PM Software • Maintain detailed project files and equipment documentation in an organized manner that aligns with the PLC Electrician Lead’s structure • Works from verbal instructions, sketches, diagrams, or blueprints to perform duties according to electrical building codes • Perform daily system checks, including boiler, air compressors, chemical treatment, and water softening equipment as assigned • Maintain a clean and organized environment • Track daily activities in maintenance software • Able to look up parts and place requisitions to order parts • Perform minor mechanical repairs as needed to facilitate electrical repairs • Other duties as assigned Position Supervised or Directed: Supervised. Qualifications, Experience requirements: • 1 year of hands-on electrical experience required • Strong troubleshooting abilities required • Valid forklift certification or ability to acquire one • Valid blueprint certification or ability to acquire one • Ability to follow directions accurately • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality • Physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods General Requirements: • Able to travel to other divisions when required. • Detailed and hands-on oriented. As a Maintenance Electrician, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance of all electrical equipment in the factory. You’ll follow plant sanitation practices and procedures while staying informed of new technology and equipment as it pertains to plant operations. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as you always work in a safe manner to enhance machine reliability and process improvements across the facility. Make an impact on our processes as you deliver vital predictive and preventative maintenance work to our machinery. • Properly use maintenance equipment including hand tools, lifts, threaders, benders, drills and welding equipment. • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain switch gears, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motors including three phase systems. • Design, program and troubleshoot plant PLCs, VFDs, input/output devices and associated equipment. • Read, update, and create electrical prints and documentation. • Properly install conduit, raceways, fittings, etc. • Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators. • Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. • All other duties as assigned. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • 2+ years’ industrial electronics or electrical related experience required, OR 2 Year Technical Degree / Apprenticeship required. Other • Must be open to all schedules including nights and 12-hour shifts with a continuous schedule. The approximate hourly pay for this position is $39.49 an hour for Maintenance C rate. The pay progression plan follows: Maintenance B $42.61, Maintenance A $44.67. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
