See More Details >>About the position The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking to hire a highly motivated and goal-oriented person to serve as the Electrician at Illinois River Correctional Center. The individual in this role will work as a journey level electrician in maintaining all electrical systems within the facility. The candidate will supervise and instruct individuals in custody in the routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems throughout the facility. This position oversees repairs and maintains HVAC systems as well as repairs and maintenance of all electrical locking systems, security lights throughout the facility, and troubleshooting and repairs of the computer Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure.
